Your statutory cancellation rights. Under the European Union (Consumer Information, Cancellation and Other Rights) Regulations 2013 (S.I. Everything worth knowing before you enrol.
The course is written for Irish workplaces and follows the Irish legislation and guidance set out above. Requirements differ between jobs, so if you are training for a specific employer it is worth confirming with them that it meets their needs before you buy.
After the theory you record a brief 10–15 second video showing a harness fitted correctly and upload it from your account. An instructor reviews it before your certificate is released.
You are told what to correct and you can record it again at no extra cost.
The assessment is a set of multiple-choice questions. The answers are marked instantly, and if you do not pass you can review the modules and retake it as many times as you need at no extra charge. After the theory you also upload a short harness video for instructor review.
Once your harness video has been reviewed and approved, the certificate is issued to your account and can be downloaded straight away.
Yes. The modules and the assessment work on a phone, tablet or computer, and your progress is saved as you go. A phone is also the easiest way to record the practical video.
Email us within 14 days of your purchase and we will refund you in full. You do not need to give a reason. This is our own guarantee, offered on top of your statutory rights rather than instead of them.
No. €35 covers the course, the assessment, any retakes, the practical review and the certificate. There is no subscription and no renewal charge.
4 modules in a clear order, then a short online assessment.
The hazards of working at height, the Work at Height regulations, employer obligations and your responsibilities under Irish law.
Carrying out a risk assessment: recognising hazards, identifying who is at risk and recording what you find.
Fall prevention, the hierarchy of control, using PPE, inspecting equipment and planning for emergencies.
Mobile towers, MEWPs, ladders, harnesses and safe means of access for work at height.
The assessment only asks about what the modules cover — nothing you have not been taught.
Work through each module at your own pace. Your progress is saved, so you can stop and come back later.
A multiple-choice assessment on what the modules cover. The answers are marked instantly.
If you fall short, review the material and try again — retakes are free and unlimited.
As soon as you pass, upload your short harness video. Once an instructor approves it, your certificate is issued to your account as a PDF you can print or send to your employer.
This is the part most online courses leave out, so here is exactly what happens.
Work through the four online modules, including harness purpose, fit and pre-use checks.
Use a phone to record a 10–15 second video showing the harness fitted correctly.
Upload it from your account. An instructor checks the fit against the course criteria.
On approval, the certificate is issued to your account. If not, you are told what to fix and can re-record free of charge.
Written plainly, with the source named so you can check it yourself.
Work at height in Ireland is governed by Part 4 (Regulations 94–119) of the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work (General Application) Regulations 2007, under the 2005 Act.
The online modules give you the knowledge. The short harness video lets an instructor see that you can fit and check a harness correctly before your certificate is released.
Work at height is governed in Ireland by the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Act 2005 and Part 4 of the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work (General Application) Regulations 2007. Part 4 covers Regulations 94–119. Regulation 95 requires proper planning, supervision, an appropriate risk assessment and arrangements for emergencies and rescue. Regulation 98 requires the employer to avoid work at height where reasonably practicable, then prevent falls and minimise the distance or consequences if prevention cannot eliminate the risk.
These duties apply to more than roof work. A ladder, mobile tower, MEWP or platform may expose a worker to a fall, and an opening can create a hazard even below ground level. A course certificate records learning; the employer must still choose a safe method, suitable equipment and competent people for the real site. The assessment should account for surfaces, access, weather, falling objects and the work to be done.
The first module introduces height hazards, employer obligations, worker responsibilities and the Irish legal framework. The second teaches how to identify hazards, consider who may be harmed and record a risk assessment. The third covers the hierarchy of control, fall prevention, personal protective equipment, inspection and emergency planning. The fourth compares work-at-height tools and equipment, including mobile towers, MEWPs, ladders, harnesses and safe access routes.
This structure follows the order a supervisor should use: consider whether the task can stay at ground level; if it cannot, select a way to prevent a fall; then consider measures that reduce the consequences of a fall. Guard-rails or protected platforms can protect everyone using an area. A harness requires correct selection, fitting, anchorage and a rescue plan, so it should not be treated as a universal answer.
Learners complete the four online modules and then take a multiple-choice assessment on the taught content. Answers are marked immediately, and the page allows a learner to review and try again. A practical assessment follows the theory: the learner uses a phone to record a 10–15 second video showing a harness fitted correctly. The video is uploaded for instructor review. If the fit needs correction, the instructor provides feedback and the learner can re-record it.
The PDF certificate is issued to the account after the instructor approves the practical video. It can be downloaded or sent to an employer. The certificate does not replace task-specific instruction, equipment familiarisation, supervision or the employer’s work-at-height assessment. Those remain necessary when the method or site changes.
For compliance, link the training record to the specific work: the equipment selected, who inspected it, how access is controlled and what rescue arrangements are available. Review the assessment when a different ladder, tower or platform is used, or when weather and ground conditions change. This makes the training part of a documented prevention process rather than an isolated course completion.
